South Korean Director Shot Paranmanjang Movie with iPhone4

Acclaimed South Korean file director Park Chan-wook has discovered a new cinematic tool: The iPhone.

As everyone knows that the worlds most popular and best selling smartphone is iPhone. After Nokia N8, the iPhone is the second gadget which is used for film making.

The South Korean director Park is internationally known for his work such as “Old Boy” , “Lady Vengeance” and “Thirst” said his new film called “Paranmanjang” was shot entirely by the tool : iPhone4.

Park tolds to the repoter Monday,

The new technology creates strange effects because it is new and because it is a medium the audience is used to,

The movie, made on a budget of 150 million won ($133,000), was shot using the iPhone 4 and expected to release in South Korean theaters on Jan. 27.

“Paranmanjang,” which means a “life full of ups and downs” in Korean, is about a man transcending his current and former lives. He catches a woman while fishing in a river in the middle of the night. They both end up entangled in the line and he thinks she is dead.

Suddenly, though, she wakes up, strangles him and he passes out. When the woman awakens him, she is wearing his clothing and he hers. She cries and calls him “father.”

This is a short film runs for 30-minutes, Park made this horror film with his younger brother Park Chan-kyong who is also a director.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Pro Successor Leaked

Sony Ericsson has been leaked the another new handset in the family of Xperia on the Chinese website and is reportedly the successor of Xperia X10 mini pro. It is expected with some rather nice features. Yip!! It is run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), add some fast graphics chip. The below benchmark pics shows that it is much faster than Nexus One and Galaxy S.

The Original leaker on the chinese website say that it sport by 3inch multi-touch display, a 1GHz CPU and an Adeno 205 GPU. It might also have a slide out QWERTY Keyboard.

The iPhone 4G will have a “magic arse”

Some call it “touch-sensitive casing”; we call it “magic arse” – a much better description, we’re sure you’ll agree. Either way, the big rumour is that Apple will bring Magic Mouse-style tech to the iPhone, enabling you to use the casing for things such as controlling games without putting your thumbs over the on-screen action.

The iPhone 4G will use Bing as its default search engine

It’s no secret that relations between Apple and Google are becoming increasingly frosty, especially now that Google has entered the smartphone market. So will we see Bing as the iPhone’s default? OLED delivers better battery life, so this one’s very, very likely indeed. Unless the 4G does have a magic, battery-draining touch-sensitive case, that is.

We really don’t see this one happening – Apple is removing removable batteries from its laptops – but that hasn’t stopped endless predictions of an iPhone with swappable batteries. We think this one’s a wish rather than a reliable prediction.

Nevertheless AppleInsider reckons that Apple has been hoovering up lots of Philips LED flash components – and by “lots” we mean “tens of millions” – while DigiTimes says Apple has also been shopping for 5 megapixel cameras.

This one’s been kicking around for a while, but we really don’t see it happening. It’s hard enough getting networks to deliver decent 3G coverage; 4G is a long way off yet.

A front-facing camera has been rumoured since the very first iPhone, but there’s still no sign of it turning up. Apple has certainly patented a front-facing camera for the iPhone, but not for video chat: the patent applications show it acting as an input device. Nevertheless the rumour mill still reckons we’ll see a twin-camera iPhone this year.

How to:Send & Receive MMS in N900

Note: This application is still in the ‘extras-devel’ application catalog so as always be careful installing anything from this category.

I hope this has helped and I just wanted to add a couple of things:



Although I said it in the video that you can’t add another APN, well, I just found out you can, using fAPN from the extras-testing catalogue.
When you receive an MMS and fMMS is not open, you will need to just tap on the “new message” popup then load fMMS to open it.
You have to manually switch to GSM and make sure it is not on WiFi when you are trying to send/open a message otherwise it will simply never be able to send/receive and the application will eventually freeze.
Currently only images are supported.
